TO SUPPLEMENT THE REGULATIONS ON THE MINIMUM TECHNICAL CONDITIONS IN SALES OBJECTS IN WHICH WHOLESALE AND RETAIL TRADE IS CARRIED OUT

With the LATEST first amendment to the Regulation on commercial facilities, an amendment was made only in article 20 of the basic text of the Regulation (290/22), which only applies to SHOPPING CENTRES (MAILS).
The amendments are in red and are valid until April 13, 2023.
III. SHOPPING CENTRES (MALLS)
Article 20
In addition to the general conditions prescribed in articles 3, 4, 5 and 6 of this regulation, the shopping centre (mall) should also fulfil the following conditions:
to have at least 6,000 m2 of total internal area; (79/23, in force from 13 April 2023)
to have at least one properly marked entrance and exit if it is of a closed type, with an area of up to 10,000 m2, and if it has an area of more than 10,000 m2, to have at least two entrances and exits;
if it is of the open type, it should allow easy access from any side to the entrance and exit;
to have adequate parking for vehicles according to the size of the shopping center (mall);
to have a freight elevator for the transfer of goods, if the sales space is on floors;
to have an elevator or moving stairs (escalator) for consumers if there is at least one floor;
to have at least one female and one male sanitary unit on each floor, with an anteroom with a sink with hot and cold water for consumers, which are clearly marked and
to have a consumer information system.
The shopping centre (mall) should be organised and maintained as a whole, consisting of sales and other facilities that are connected to common areas including walkways, service rooms, warehouses and other auxiliary rooms.
The sales facilities from paragraph 2 of this article are: shops, kiosks and stands in which the following types of goods are sold: food, clothing, shoes, cosmetics, jewelry, books, music, toys, sports equipment, information technology equipment, decorative and other types of decorations, household electrical appliances, furniture, providing services and more.
In the shopping centre (mall), the goods from paragraph 3 of this article should be sold in at least 10 stores and at least two stands or kiosks. (79/23, in force from 13 April 2023)
Other facilities in the shopping centre (mall) from paragraph 2 of this article can be at least three of the following facilities: bank and ATM, i.e. exchange office, pharmacy, cinema, restaurant or fast food stand, cafe/cafeteria and types of entertainment games (playhouse , bowling alley and more).
